The poetry collection has amazing vitality and power. Many of  these poems show the poet’s most impassioned moods, and are characterised by impressive felicity of style and subtle diction.

 The merit of poems lies in the musical quality of language:

I have heard a voice like this somewhere:
it’s the rustle of leaf, the beating of a
swallow’s wings, the light fall of a petal.

I have heard a voice like this: it comes;
it troubles my heart, confusing its beats.
It’s such a light musical note: the most
beautiful music that I have ever heard,
and on a day like this. (MUSICAL NOTE)

The poet uses natural imagery to suggest the gentle and delicate nature of this voice. The rustle of leaves, the beating of a swallow's wings, and the light fall of a petal create a sense of calm and tranquility.

The book describes the effect that the voice has on the speaker. It troubles their heart and confuses its beats, suggesting that the voice is both beautiful and unsettling. The use of the word "musical" implies that the voice has a melodic quality, adding to its beauty.

The final line, "and on a day like this", creates a sense of context and setting, as if the beauty of the voice is heightened by the particular circumstances of the day. Overall, it evokes a sense of wonder and enchantment, as the speaker describes a voice that has deeply moved them.

The collection is marked by an intense feelings of the human heart:

My smile was lost somewhere in the fog
of this city, in the crazy rush, in the gray
of the days, in the darkness of the nights.

I don’t know how it happened; I don’t
know who or what brought you across my
way; I don’t recall if it was a sunny day.

I remember that, suddenly, in an instant,
I found my smile in the mirror; the days
were dressed in shades, in many colors;
a rainbow dripped a thousand reflections
of happiness, of limpid light over me. (MY SMILE)

Above lines appear to be a personal reflection on the speaker's emotional state before and after encountering someone who has had a positive impact on them.

In the starting lines, the speaker describes feeling lost and disconnected in the bustling city, surrounded by the monotony of gray days and dark nights. The repetition of "in the" creates a sense of overwhelming despair and a lack of control over their emotions.

The second stanza describes the speaker's encounter with someone who has brought joy and happiness into their life. The speaker is unsure of the specifics of the encounter, suggesting that it was unexpected and perhaps even magical. The image of finding their smile in the mirror suggests that this encounter has helped the speaker to reconnect with themselves and find a sense of inner peace. The colorful imagery of the days dressed in shades and the rainbow dripping reflections of happiness creates a sense of wonder and beauty, emphasizing the transformative power of the encounter.

Overall, the poem is a poignant reflection on the importance of human connection and the ways in which a single encounter can have a profound impact on our emotional well-being.

Enjoyed it immensely.
